In this class you will learn:

  • How to create a conducive atmosphere for a daily practice
  • How to choose the right equipment, time of day, posture, etc.
  • The basic techniques
  • The obstacles to a daily meditation practice and their antidotes
  • The most important secrets to achieving success.
  • The class will end with a guided meditation.

Reiki Level 1 Training with Ania Kopczynski - View Flyer

Reiki (pronounced "ray-key") is a ancient Japanese modality used for healing and empowerment of the mind and body.  It is a light-touch method based on natural healing.  In the practice of Reiki "universal life engergy" is channeled through the practioner to the recipient.  Once attunded to the vibration of Reiki energy, it can be applied holistically to self and others in a simple and effective way.

Reiki promotes natural healing, balances organs and glands stimulates creativity and personal growth, enhances awareness, assists in meditation and positive thinking, relaxes and reducess stress, strengthens the immune system, relieves pain and adapts to receivers needs.

Class includes a Reiki 1 attunement, hands on learning experience, certfication, manual, journal and vegan/vegetarian lunch. Please bring your yoga mat and a notebook.

A Journey into Veganism with Paul Krause and Susan Kline - View Flyer

Join Paul Krause, Vice President of VegMichigan who will talk about the advantages of a plant based life style as it relates to health, environment and ethical issues. He will also explain the difference between being a vegan and vegetarian.

The talk will be followed by a cooking demonstration by Susan Kline, a VegMichigan board member who has recently published the vegan cookbook “From the Earth with Love”, a compilation of delicious and time honored recipes for the ultimate in vegan food comfort.

We invite you to come and join this fun and informative class. You will sample food prepared just for you and receive free literature and recipes to help you start or keep your journey.

East Side Yoga Silent Retreat - View Flyer

Date: Friday through Sunday April 13th - 15th, 2012
Time: Arrival: Friday 5:00 - 7:00 PM - Depart: Sunday by 12:00 PM
Join Bodhi Seed and Santosha Yoga Studios at the Lake Huron Retreat Center for a weekend to reflect, relax and practice yoga.  This weekend retreat will take place in silence to allow you the opportunity to focus within. You may attend yoga classes, a meditation workshop, wander the grounds, or simply rest.
This beautiful facility is located on Lake Huron, 15 minutes north of Port Huron.  The cozy retreat center has practice rooms, meeting areas and a double-sided fireplace.


The rooms accommodate up to 6 people and you may choose a room to yourself, but space is limited, so we ask that you share a room.  A private bath is in each room, provided with towels, sheets, pillows and blankets.  There will be home cooked meals, with vegetarian choices offered.  The meals will be breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast only on Sunday. You are responsible for your own meal on Friday night.


Prices include 2 night stay, 4 meals and all yoga and meditation classes.

  • 4-6 persons per room - $200 per person
  • 3 persons per room -    $220 per person
  • 2 persons per room -    $240 per person
  • 1 person per room -     $290

A deposit of ½ the weekend price is due on March 2nd, 2012, balance to be paid by March 30th, 2012. Any refunds given after final payment will result in a $25 fee.
Arrival: Friday April 13th between 5pm and 7pm
Depart: Sunday April 15th by 12pm


The itinerary and a list of what you should bring will be given as soon as the plans are finalized. Hope you can make it.
