Teacher Training
Yoga is for everyone and anyone can benefit from it. You don’t need to be an athlete or a dancer to do, teach or enjoy yoga. In this course you will immerse yourself in the traditional practices of yoga.
This program is a unique opportunity for sustained immersion in the ancient art/science of yoga which will lead you to a deeper awareness of yourself and the world. Whether you are an aspiring yoga teacher or a practitioner who wants to know more about the yoga tradition, this training will provide you with a unique structure in which to experience the vast benefits of yoga.
You will learn Yoga Postures (Asanas), Pranayama (Breathe), and Meditation, Yoga Philosophy, Yoga Psychology, Yoga Anatomy, Chakras, Mudras, Bandhas, Kids Yoga, Pre-Natal Yoga as well as other styles of yoga. You will also come away with knowledge and in class sequencing, basic principles of alignment and adjustments, how to “read” a students body, the business side of yoga and much more. This training program develops your ability to communicate the underlying science, philosophy, and spirituality of yoga, through self observation and immersion in the process itself. You will come away with the knowledge of the inner and outer workings of yoga. |

Santosha Yoga’s Teacher Certification is approved by Yoga Alliance, and licensed by the State of Michigan. Yoga Alliance is the governing board that sets the standards of professionalism required for North American Yoga Teacher Certification. The minimum standard set by Yoga Alliance requires 200 hours of study. Certificate awarded upon completion, with RYT 200 Hour status application. |
During the duration of the training you will have “Unlimited Yoga Classes” at Santosha, this does not include workshops and special events.
Next training session will begin in the fall of 2012, dates to be determined.
